Suitable for transferring black&white or color images onto white or light-colored cotton or cotton mixed fabrics and cloth-covered mouse pads using an iron. What you need: • T-shirt transfer paper • Inkjet printer • A flat, hard and smooth surface to iron on • An iron (no travel iron) • White or light-colored garment/fabric Printing: • Use the recommended settings according to your printer’s manual. • Remember to select “Mirror Image” option and to use the highest print quality. • Use one sheet at the time only. • Test print onto a sheet of plain paper to make sure that the colors and size are correct. • After printing on transfer paper, wait approx. 1 minute before transferring. • Cut away excess material but leave a margin of 5 mm around the motif edges.
Transferring: • Preheat the iron to the highest setting. DO NOT use steam function! • You may also use a transfer heat press. Recommended transfer temperature is 200°C (both iron and press). • Briefly iron the fabric to ensure it’s completely flat. • Place the printed transfer onto the fabric with the printed image facing down. • Iron the transfer with strong pressure and slow movements. Be extra careful along edges and corners. • Possible brownish discoloration of the paper or any arising smell is harmless and will not affect the quality of the transfer. Using an iron the procedure takes approx. 1.5-2 minutes for a full A4 sheet. • Remove the release paper in a smooth even movement while it still is hot, at one strength starting from a corner.
Washing: • Wash the garment/fabric before transferring the print. • The garment/fabric has to be completely dry. • Wash the printed garment/fabric inside out at 30-40°C. • Do not tumble-dry. • Iron only on reverse side
If the printing starts to look dull after some washes, you may revitalize it by iron it again. Cover the picture with a greaseproof paper, iron for a few seconds and peel the greaseproof paper off while it still is hot.
